2lb 93% lean ground beef

24oz jar of pasta sauce (I prefer a tomato basil one)

2 cups (224g) mozzarella cheese

1 1/2 cups (340g) 1% cottage cheese

30g grated parmesan

9 oven ready lasagna noodles

1tbsp garlic salt



1. Brown the ground beef with the garlic salt and preferred amount of pepper. Mix in 2/3 of the pasta sauce and simmer for 10-15 minutes while occasionally mixing to allow the sauce to reduce.

2. As the meat sauce is simmering, mix up the cheese mixture. Simply combine 1.5 cups (168g) of the mozzarella cheese, all the cottage cheese, and all the grated parmesan in a bowl.

3. Preheat the oven to 350F

4. Layer the lasagna in a 9x13 baking dish in this order:

  • thin layer of the meat sauce

  • 3 lasagna noodles

  • 1/2 the remaining meat sauce

  • 1/2 the cheese mixture

  • 3 lasagna noodles

  • the remaining meat sauce

  • the remaining cheese mixture

  • 3 lasagna noodles

  • the remaining pasta sauce

  • the last half cup of mozzarella (56g)

5. Lightly spray a sheet of foil and cover. Bake for 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
